FUNA International Receives “Best Supplier of the Year” Award from
MEYER WERFT Shipyard
Award recognizes FUNA’s electrical engineering work for two ships delivered
in 2010: AIDAblu (AIDA Cruises) and Celebrity Eclipse (Celebrity Cruises)
EMDEN, Germany, April 11, 2011 FUNA International, a subsidiary of
SAM Electronics, an L-3 company, was honored by leading international
shipbuilder MEYER WERFT GmbH as the recipient of its “Best Supplier of the
Year” Award. At its fifth annual award ceremony, MEYER WERFT recognized
FUNA for its outstanding electrical engineering work on two top-of-the-line cruise
ships, the AIDAblu and the Celebrity Eclipse, each delivered respectively to
AIDA Cruises and Celebrity Cruises in 2010.
Primary judging criteria for MEYER WERFT’s Supplier of the Year Award were
reliability, quality, organization and occupational safety.
Andreas Köhler and Marc Goossens of FUNA accepted the award at the
ceremony held on 10 February 2011 at the Alte Werft Convention Centre in
Papenburg.

MEYER WERFT GmbH in Papenburg was founded in 1795 and is still owned by
